I knew that when I saw Martha making these craft paper boxes on her show I just had to make them. They were easy to make and and beautiful.

To finish the box I made a glittered buckle and used satin ribbon to tie around the box. Here is a picture of the buckle, but for some reason I forgot to take a picture of the box, ribbon and buckle all together. I'll try and take a picture later.

Now, to go inside of this box I turned to Bakerella for her adorable and equally delicious cupcake pops. Here are my cupcake bites nestled inside of the cute polka-dot box.

I put the bites into festive Valentine's mini cupcake papers. They fit perfectly and looked right at home.

I had some extra bites so I placed them on a small cake pedestal. I love how each is individualized with a variety of white sprinkles, M & Ms in various hues and sprinkle hearts.

Here is the handmade Valentine's card I made for Brian. I love the gold doily, it looks like its glowing.

Brian bought me this beautiful, intense red cake stand covered with raised hearts. Good thing I had baked a cake earlier in the day that needed a home.

Here is a homemade German Chocolate cake which I made for Brian, my mom, Brian's dad and I to enjoy after dinner. We took them out to Carrabba's for Valentine's day. We usually go to Carrabba's every year because that is where Brian and I went on our first date 8 and 1/2 years ago.

This cake was oh, so delicious and an perfectly sweet ending to a perfectly sweet day. HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!

I love it all! Especially the fact that you made the box, card and cupcake pops for your Valentine. Nothing says "I love you" like taking the time and making something yourself.
