Everyone is busy!

My blogging has slowed down because I have been busy with school. As I have been busy writing papers and taking final exams, our yard has also been busy.

The Magnolia blooms are almost gone they were such a beautiful pink. Yesterday our neighbor was removing a tree and from what I can see they blew some of this magnolia to bits and they came over and apologized for actually knocking down one of the fences to my vegetable garden. They put it back up and it looks fine, I have not had the time to inspect it further.

This carpet moss in the "Fern garden" on the side of our house is going to be a nice home for all the ferns that I plan on planting there. I love ferns I do not know why I just do! I am going to get some Japanese Painted ferns to put there too. Right now we have Christmas Fern and some Hydrangeas.

The creeping Phlox is doing good we planted this last year and now it is just a lovely bunch of lavender flowers.

We never plant Marigolds but I used them in the centerpiece for our Spring Fling party and I love them. I like the orange color and the fact that they keep bugs away is a nice bonus.

The Sweet Peas are almost up to the bamboo and twine support I can not wait for them to start flowering. The more they are picked the more they flower! The seeds were sort of expensive so you better believe that I will be saving seeds for next year!

These Forget-Me-Nots by the pond are doing well they have such a beautiful blue color!

Now I was more upset about this than my fence! This is called Solomon's Seal (Polygonatum multiflorum). When the neighbors blew my garden fence down they took out the largest stock of this plant. The little flowers that dangle on the bottom have the sweetest smell, we got this division from Carol's flower garden.

I only have two more final exams and then I will be posting a lot about my veggie garden!
