Tomatoes of Every Color...I didn't think that I would find much when I strolled in the garden this morning while taking the dogs out but I did! I love the colorful tomatoes that I planted and I am starting to get sad that it is Fall. I MOST CERTAINLY WILL NOT miss the heat but I will miss my garden. I will miss my my pots of overflowng and aromatic herbs, I will miss the delight that comes along with discovering that a new flower poped up. I will also miss finding new and seasonal flowers just put out at the local garden supply.
School has consumed most of my time and I will admit that I have neglected my garden. The other day I actually made a delicious lemon herb pasta, it was delicious! It is aparent that as I cut down herbs they are not growing back as quickly. My rabbits foot fern looks like it is ready to come back indoors and the chil in the evenings is getting a bit chillier. I will plant my potted up perennial herbs in the ground and bring some back inside to hopefully help them live until Thanksgiving dinner. The delicious flavor that sage adds to homemade stuffing and the vibrant color that a handful of freshly chopped parsley adds to a dish will make the meal just perfect.
Fall is here and soon our gardens will be laid to rest until next spring....
