So for the second time (I accidentally erased this post) I was saying that the weather is changing. It is getting cold, real cold. This weekend I harvested some peppers, Chile Relleno and jalapenos. The jalapenos are still a little firm but they should ripen up. I also made some Blue Cheese-Pecan Icebox Crackers. I am not too sure how I felt about these, my roommate spit it out when she tasted it... not a good sign.

I was saying in my previous post that I have found a winter project. I am going to be writing a cookbook, it will be compiled of my mother in-law's recipes. Her name was Carol and she passed away on St. Patrick's Day. The idea actually started off as a Mother's Day gift that we didn't have the opportunity to give. I am going to go through all of her recipes, cook them, take photos and then put them together into a book. We are going to sell the books at the Relay for Life (where Carol volunteered every year) and then donate the money we raise to the ACS. I am excited about this project and I think it will be good for me.
